OpenAI has been fined $3,000 by South Korea's Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) over leaked data on 687 Korean users. ChatGPT’s personal information of various users was exposed temporarily due to a bug. Although the company said that it patched the leak as soon it was identified, the PIPC noted the company breached its obligation to report the problem to authorities within 24 hours.
