WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new privacy feature that will allow users to set a custom password for locked chats, enhancing privacy and control. The feature, currently being developed for Android, will isolate the privacy of protected chats from the device's overall security. This means that even if someone gains access to the device password, they won't automatically have access to the protected chats folder. In other news, WhatsApp is set to end support for certain outdated smartphones starting from October 24, 2023.
