IT company Wipro has announced that it will be giving salary hikes in the October-December quarter, as promised during its earnings call in July. The CEO of Wipro had previously mentioned that businesses have been reducing discretionary spending due to the weaker macro environment. Meanwhile, rival companies like Infosys, TCS, HCL Tech, Coforge, Persistent Systems, and LTIMindtree have also started or rolled out salary hikes. HCL Tech will defer hikes for junior and mid-level employees and skip compensation reviews for management and above.
