X (formerly Twitter) had previously limited access speed to rival sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky and threads. However, The New York Times suggests that X has started to reverse this effort and is no longer restricting users from quickly accessing news sites. Substack, Reuters and The New York Times experienced a delay in loading their pages due to the throttling issue on X. Founders of Substack have expressed the hope, for the delay on their links to be reversed.
